Manuscript development

As any writer knows, the first draft of a manuscript is only the beginning! Every manuscript needs to go through a rigorous process of revision before it is even ready to be edited. I can either provide you with a straightforward manuscript assessment in the form of a written report or I can work with you to resolve any problems in the manuscript.

Editing

I provide both structural and copy editing services and I’m happy to work either on screen or on hard copy. For authors wanting to self-publish in ebook form, I can also implement electronic tagging of the manuscript to facilitate the conversion process.

Proofreading

Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and inconsistencies not only detract from reading pleasure but also diminish the perceived quality of a book. I have an eye for detail and offer a quick and reliable proofreading service that will give any project a final polish.

Project management

I am adept at managing every aspect of the book production process, with experience both in-house and on a freelance basis. Over the years, I have developed great contacts with designers, indexers, other editors and proofreaders, as well as print agents and ebook providers, so I can easily put together a team and then manage the production of your book from unedited manuscript to final product.
